In attempts to boost sales post holiday season, Microsoft has come with a strategy to roll some of the new configurations of its Surface products configurations that drop the entry level pricing. The main device that captured a lot of attention was the Surface laptop being sold at just $799.
The product is being made available at $200 cheaper than the former entry level model. This has attracted a lot of customers as the pricing is fairly attractive even though the specs are pretty dismal as far as these things go. The system’s powered by an Intel Core m3 chip coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device will be running on the stripped down Windows 10 S.
The window 10 S is actually designed to run on low-priced hardware, like the $189 systems its hardware partners have been producing for the classroom.
Microsoft has also marketed a cheaper version of the Surface Book 2 priced at $1,199 for an i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
Up till now the Surface laptop has received good reviews across social media
