A US military emergency clinic subsidized by the United Arab Emirates will be worked in Abu Dhabi to treat Emirati fighters and territorially based American troops, a US armed force official said on Sunday.
Lieutenant General Charles Hooper, chief of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, said the US would send therapeutic military staff in help of an office “fundamentally the same as” to the one in Landstuhl, Germany – the greatest American emergency clinic outside the US.
“We are going to put that directly here in Abu Dhabi,” he told correspondents on the sidelines of the International Defense Exhibition in the UAE capital.
“Whenever finished, this office, which is financed by the UAE, will give genuinely necessary crisis restorative help to both Emirati powers and to provincially based US powers,” he said without determining how much the task would cost.
Hooper said the task was still in its “primer stages” and the United States was “anticipating opening the middle as fast as practicable”.
The United Arab Emirates has not yet reported any designs for such an emergency clinic.
The UAE is a key territorial partner of the United States and keeps up close ties with the organization of President Donald Trump.
