Apple recently landed its first ever comedy show for its online TV streaming. The show will be a thirty minute comedy series which will have Kristen Wiig as the executive producer as well the lead. Getting hold of Kristen Wiig is being seen as great victory for Apple. The actress has appeared in several films and has also been nominated thrice for an Emmy and once for an Oscar.
The series is said to be a part of Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. Apple has previously picked two other projects form Hello Sunshine for its streaming services.
Apart from this, Apple will also be showing a series about extraordinary homes, a revival of “Amazing Stories” which will have Steven Spielberg as the executive producer. Moreover, it has also green lit a new space drama from “Battlestar Galactica’s” creator Ronald D. Moore, called “See.”
The comedy series will have both Kristen Wiig and Reese Witherspoon as the executive producers. Lauren Neustadter and show runner/series creator Colleen McGuinness. Sittenfeld will also be there as consultants.
