BlackBerry is suing Twitter for alleged patent infringement

BlackBerry, the previous cell phone producer, is suing Twitter for supposed patent encroachment. On the off chance that this sounds well-known, it might be on the grounds that BlackBerry recorded a patent encroachment suit against Facebook a year ago.

In its objection, BlackBerry charges Twitter has encroached and keeps on encroaching on six of its licenses, which spread things like pop-up messages, quieting notices for a message string and portable publicizing procedures.

BlackBerry, which alludes to itself as a pioneer in portable informing, charges Twitter “made versatile informing applications that co-select BlackBerry’s developments, utilizing some of the imaginative UI and usefulness improving highlights that made BlackBerry’s items such a basic and business accomplishment in any case.”

As noted above, BlackBerry sued Facebook a year ago, asserting patent encroachment. At the time, BlackBerry refered to seven licenses that identify with security, UI highlights, battery-effective notices, versatile informing in diversions and, comparably to its issue with Twitter, hushing notices. A couple of months after the fact, in September, Facebook recorded its very own suit against BlackBerry, claiming the organization encroached on five of its licenses. Both of those suits are still in prosecution.

BlackBerry was at one time a cell phone goliath, yet quit assembling its very own equipment in 2016. At that point, in 2017, BlackBerry uncovered the KEYone cell phone, made by TCL, under the organization’s new system to concentrate on programming.

Both Twitter and BlackBerry declined to remark.
