Damac Properties has awarded Arabtec Holding a new contract worth $115m (AED424m) for building 916 villas in the Akoya Oxygen master development.

Akoya Oxygen is a 55 million square-foot development . reportedly, it will also house a 18-hole championship golf course, as well as shopping, retail, entertainment and hospitality components in addition to its villas, apartments and serviced units.
The project consists of 329 units in Mimosa, 419 units in Basswood and 168 units of the Amazonia extension located in phase 6 of the Akoya Oxygen master development. The three-phase developments covers a built-up area of approximately 148,000 square-meters and will take 22 months to complete, beginning this month.
Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co. (EFECO) will carry out mechanical, electrical and plumbing works for the project.
