Egypt’s Security Emirates Skycargo has announced that it is going to open a new business lane with the onset of cargo services for Bogota, Colombia for South America.
The airline said in a statement that the Colombian capital will be serviced by a weekly cargo service starting on January 16.
Emirates SkyCargo will operate the Boeing 777 freighter aircraft in Bogota with cargo capacity of more than 100 tons and there are wide main deck doors for large and external goods transport.
Bogota will be the sixth cargo destination of Emirates Skycargo in South America and it will be the third dedicated cargo destination in the continent.
Emirates SkyCargo will work jointly with Aviana for Bogota’s free service outside of Bogota. The Latin American carrier will commercialize Boeing 777 freezers on its return foot from Bogota to Maastricht to transfer cargo booked by their customers.
