Dubai-based international luxury hotel chain, Jumeirah is going to launch the first ever ice rink in the Maldives. Jumeirah Vittaveli resort will be the one to introduce the rink, allowing guests to ice skate, play winter sports while sunbathing in the tropics of Maldives.
After taking a dip in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean guests will have an opportunity to step off the white sandy beaches and get themselves into a pair of skates to glide over the resort’s ice skating rink.
Amit Majumder, the General Manager of Jumeirah Vittaveli said, the ice rink is set to launch in a couple weeks.
“The ice rink is a perfect demonstration of our ongoing efforts that always aims to ‘wow’ our guests. We have many guests coming back to us and the positive feedback that we often receive is that its due to the surprise elements in our offerings,” he added.
Glice, a company that manufactures artificial ice plates, has partnered with Jumeirah in building the ice rink also offering ice skating indoor and outdoor anytime and in any climate conditions.
