In a new business development by Microsoft it has reduced the cost its Azure services’ 24/7 technical and billing support by more than half. Previously priced at $300 per month and a response time for critical business of 2 hours, Azure Standard Support now offers $100 for its services and a shortened response time of 1 hour.
This move comes as Microsoft continues to face competition from rival cloud services like AWS and Google.
Currently, Google only offers basic support at $150 per month with the promise of a four-hour response time for business critical issues. Whereas AWS’s Business plan starts at $100 per month and also promises a one-hour response time. however the customers actually pay a percentage of your monthly AWS usage fees on a slide scale that depends on their monthly AWS bill.
AWS and Microsoft both offer a cheaper and significantly more limited “developer” plan for $29 per month as well.
The reduced prices will soon be effective. however the prices remain the same in Germany.
