Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recently reviewed the achievements of the Translation Challenge which a subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Rashid Arab e-Learning Project.
Sheikh Mohammed also inaugurated the second phase of the initiative, which includes the compliance of the translated content with the education curriculum.
On his visit, he saw the “translation lab” and was also briefed on the work processes and plans.
Sheikh Mohammed said, “I am happy to see such enthusiastic volunteers. We have a team composed of thousands of volunteers ready to start a new phase of development in the field of education in the Arab world. Our students need better curriculums and the Mohammed bin Rashid Arab e-Learning Project will be the biggest platform for developing educational content.”
Up until now, the initiative has completed translation of 1,500 educational videos out of the targeted 5,000 videos, with 3 million words out of the targeted 11 million words, a statement said. 300 volunteers are also taking part in the Translation Challenge.
