Steve Ridgway, CBE, chairman of Britain’s national the travel industry organization, has been visiting the UAE this week to advance the UK as a guest goal to Gulf voyagers.
Amid his two-day visit, Ridgway has been meeting with VisitBritain’s accomplices including Wego, one of the biggest online travel commercial centers in the Middle East, and visiting the Expo 2020 website.
The visit comes as visitors to the UK from the GCC have expanded by 53 percent somewhere in the range of 2012 and 2017.
VisitBritain said it is expecting around 825,000 visits from the GCC this year, with guests burning through £2.4 billion.
