American President Donald Trump has long been after Amazon and has now turned his attention to the US Postal Service. Trump issued an executive order aimed at evaluating the U.S. Postal Service.
The orders demand a “thorough” task force evaluation of the USPS’s finances and operations after the President cited the mail service’s “unsustainable financial path.”
This is not the first time Trump attacked the USPS. Earlier in 2013, he tweeted a u number of attacks he bemoaned a planned end of Saturday mail delivery. Another time in December, , Trump called the USPS out on Twitter once again, saying it was “losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer?”
It looks like Trump is out to get both Amazon and the USPS. However Amazon’s dealings with the USPS aren’t so straightforward.
Although Trump’s executive order doesn’t single out Amazon by name, he has been ramping up attacks on the online retail giant and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is mostly the main target who also happens to own The Washington Post. Now the Post doesn’t seem to portray the President in a very good light.
