UAE introduces two-month tourist visa exemption for dependants

 

In a recent move to attract more visitors, UAE has announced  that visit visa fees for tourist visa for dependants will be exempted between July and September each year.

The number of passengers traveling through the country’s airports reached 32.8 million passengers during the first quarter of this year. Visitors come to the UAE to enjoy the historical sites, hotel and tourism services, and a number of festivals and activities throughout the year.

The move, approved today by the UAE cabinet, will exempt accompanying dependents of foreign tourists under the age of 18 from visa fees between July 15 and September 15 each year.

Officials said the decision is planned to improve the country’s standing as a leading destination in family tourism.

Last month, the UAE cabinet approved a decision to exempt transit passengers from all entry fees for the first 48 hours, with an extension option for to 96 hours available for a fee of AED50.
