There has been all sorts of speculations about the next Android’s name. Reportedly it will start with the letter “P” and it will be a dessert food. Popsicle is the name which has been doing rounds on the internet,
With Popsicle, the company might well be alluding to in its new Spring Wallpaper Collection. 9to5Google noted a colorful array of frozen confections in amongst the selections. It’s worth noting that Popsicle is, in fact, still a trademarked name — like Kleenex and Xerox and Frisbee.
But that doesn’t mean that it will stop Google. You could very well remember recent examples such as Kit-Kat and Oreo. Also if Google does decide to use this name, it might just mean better/cheaper promotion for the company.
For now, all we can do is speculate and Google is probably just enjoying all the attention it is getting.
